An old village school on the banks of Johku Rapids
Johku Vanha Koulu is the Koskikylä village school from 1912. Celebrate your wedding in the old gym hall, spend a summer night in a former classroom and run Johku Rapids straight from the school's riverbank.
Parties and weddings
The hall seats 80 guests at tables or 120 standing, with a full kitchen, tableware for 100 and a lawn running down to Johku River. Rent it for a day, a whole weekend or a short five-hour event.
A summer night in a classroom
From June to August the old classrooms are guest rooms: seven rooms, 18 beds and breakfast in the school kitchen. The blackboards are still on the walls.
Rafting on Johku Rapids
Scheduled departures daily at 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 in summer, a gentler family route on the lower rapids and private rafts for your own group. Guide, wetsuit, helmet and life jacket included.
A wedding weekend in one booking
Venue from Friday to Sunday, the whole school for two nights with breakfast and a Sunday rafting trip for 16 guests: 3,990 €.
